Horticultural Positions Available (Garden Centre & Greenhouse)

Position – Horticultural Sales positions at customer service-oriented Garden Centre in greenhouse, perennial and tree lot areas.

Requirements:

  • strong interpersonal skills
  • positive work attitude and self-starter
  • experience in sales essential
  • willingness to learn new product lines
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • general knowledge of plant material and related products
  • general knowledge of plant diseases and pests an asset
  • design experience an asset
  • Pesticide Dispenser or Applicator License as an asset

Duties:

  • Assisting customers with general horticultural information
  • Sales of plant material and gardening products
  • Inventory control
  • Watering and general plant and sales area maintenance
  • For Greenhouse area – experience in growing annuals an asset

Wage – depends on qualifications and experience

Hours – seasonal full and part-time positions available

Positions are available in the following departments: Greenhouse/Customer Planter Design/Outdoor Plants/Customer Service/Cashiers/Gardeners

  • Must be a energetic, enjoy the outdoors, have excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers 
  • Knowledge of gardening, bedding plants, perennials, shrubs, and trees is an asset, but not required. 
  • Willingness to learn, being self-motivated and a team player make our staff special. 
  • Providing great customer service is our main focus.
